There may be some mild swelling in the first 48 hours after the treatment. The color will appear darker in the first week, however this will gradually lighten during healing.

Consultation: Before scheduling the procedure, a thorough consultation is carried out so I can understand your desired outcomes and expectations. We will discuss the desired shape, colour, and overall look you wish to achieve. I will explain the treatment process, answer any questions, then design a mockup so you can see how your eyeliner would look before committing to the procedure.

On the day: The area to be treated is cleaned and anaesthetic is applied for around 20-25 minutes. Then, using specialised drawing and measuring tools, a more technical drawing of the agreed design is carried out to ensure the eyeliner is as symmetrical and precise as possible. The chosen pigment is then implanted into the skin using a digital machine, you will feel a slight vibration or scratching sensation during the first part of the procedure. This sensation is eliminated after the secondary anaesthetic is applied.

Healing: After the procedure, the treated area may appear red, swollen and darker in colour. Over the next few days, the skin will settle and the colour will soften. It's important to follow aftercare instructions provided to promote proper healing and long-lasting results. Area should be fully healed after about 2 weeks.

Follow-Up: A follow-up appointment is scheduled 6-8 weeks later to assess the healed results and make any necessary touch-ups or adjustments.

Each individual experiences varying levels of sensitivity, however anaesthetic is applied before and during the treatment to alleviate any discomfort. While this procedure may be psychologically daunting for some, the eyes are closed throughout. Many describe feeling a tickling sensation along the lash line and a slight scratching sensation on the lid. The sensation is significantly reduced after the application of a secondary anaesthetic. I prioritise your comfort throughout the entire procedure and strive to make it as comfortable and pleasant as possible for you.

I will work with you to help choose colour and design. However, if you are unsure which eyeliner is for you I always recommend going more subtle and natural at first. We can always add more, thicken, lengthen and use a darker pigment for the eyeliner once you have gone through the healing process and are back in for your second session. For clients that wear liquid eyeliner every day or even sleep in their eye makeup, I would suggest a makeup replacement such as classic or shaded eyeliner. For clients that prefer natural/ modest eye makeup and are looking to enhance their eye shape without looking like they’ve had an eyeliner tattoo , I would suggest a lash line enhancemnet. I can produce a beautiful eyeliner to suit each individual and to match your own eye, shape, style, expectations.

Longevity is influenced by factors such as lifestyle, skin type, medications, environmental conditions, skincare and aftercare. Generally your eyeliner will need a top up around 12-24 months to keep it fresh.

I work closely with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the proposed style, colour and technique. I then draw a template on the area to be treated and do not proceed until you are completely happy with it, so there is very little room for error. The procedure does allow flexibility for colour or shape change to some extent as I always aim to keep the shape and colour more conservative in the first session then build up in the second session if desired. However, if you are not sure you would benefit from this procedure, please opt for a more temporary option. If I feel you are not 100% confident with the treatment I will not take you on as a client.
